 Life Size Father Christmas
He is 6"1" tall. His Head and hands are hand sculpted from Clay, His eyes are glassine. His hair is made from sheep wool roving, the beard, moustache and eyebrows are Tibetan wool. The body is made of cotton canvas, chambered so the stuffing will not shift and the inside armature is made of copper pipe and wire. He is jointed at the elbows hips and knees and a copper pipe is inserted inside the body so he will sit or stand.
When standing he is set up on a stand made of a wooden base with a flanged iron pipe screwed to that base, the iron pipe is inserted inside the copper pipe in the body therefore allowing him to stand. His under dress is Green Satin embellished with gold coloured braiding.
The hooded coat is of Wine coloured synthetic crushed velvet with mink fur trim. (Fur is recycled from old fur coats) Front closure on the coat are buttons linked with chains so the under dress will show.
He wears black leather boots. (See picture of the cloth body on this page).
