Gallery of Works

This original creation is 24" tall. I sculpted his head with shoulder plate and hands from Cernit. His eyes are brown acrylic. I made his white wig from sheep wool rovings, the beard, mustache and eyebrows from Tibetan sheep wool. His body is made of stuffed cotton with a twisted wire armature. I designed and sewed his costume. He wears a silk and silver shirt that ties at the back and a pair of cream crepe loose fitting pants puffed at the bottom with an elastic. His hooded coat is made of black tipped white mink fur and lined with white silk. His boots are white suede. His feet are screwed to a round wooden base covered with white felt and trimmed with white braiding. In his left hand he holds a snow covered branch with a lantern ( with red candle inside) hanging from the end.. In his right hand he hold a small wooden light green decorated bird house. At his feet there are small sprigs of evergreens decorated with dried berries and red ribbons. As few toys lay among the greenery. I love his kind and peaceful looking wrinkled face.
