This original creation is 42" tall. His head with shoulder plate is sculpted from Cernit (polymer clay). His eyes are light brown acrylic. I made his white wig from sheep rovings, his beard, mustache and eyebrows were made from Tibetan sheep wool. He is very serene looking. His body is made of stuffed cotton with a heavy wire armature. He stands on his own. His arms are movable at the shoulders and elbows so they can be positioned to hold something in his hands. I designed and sewed his clothes. He wears a golden satin dress, the wide sleeves are trimmed at the cuffs with a metallic lace, the neck is also trimmed with the same metallic lace. His flared coat is made of wine colour tapestry lined with wine colour silk. The coat is trimmed all around the front and hem with white and black rabbit fur, recycled from an old coat, a black braiding decorates the inside edge of the fur trim . He has a matching fur cape around his shoulders closed at the front by 2 buttons joined by a gold metallic chain. The coat also is held closed in three places with gold metallic buttons joined by a chain. His toque type hat is made of black martin fur with a gold metallic tear drop dangling from the end. He wears brown leather mittens and brown leather boots. In his left hand he holds a small evergreen on a wooden base decorated with small silver Christmas balls. In his right hand he holds staff mad from the branch of an apple tree wrapped with a gold metallic wired ribbon He has a black nylon rope going from his back over his shoulder and around the front. An assortment of toys dangle from it. He is ready for Christmas Eve deliveries..
