Elves, Forrest Critters - Grumpphrey
Grumpphrey is a little forest critter. He will lives with his friends in one of the many enchanted forests in Never Land. He has toad legs and feet, arms like a human but his hands have 4 fingers, his face will have humanoid features with small ant like black eyes. His legs and body are lizard skin like synthetic suede with bits and pieces of antique gold lace held on his skin by gold coloured seed beads, to represent dew that has settled on him. He will more than likely be sitting on a large mushroom, surveying his domain. Once I have finished sculpting his head from Cernit clay, and he is all put together, he will mesure approximately 20 inches from his toes to the top of his head. He will have a little puffy sleeves and a toque type hat with bits of mohair hair peeking out from under the toque, at
least this is whata I envision for now. He is one of my fun creations that will evolve into a very cute, very odd little guy.
UPDATE 07/11/05
Here you see his thrown being made. He will sit atop the large mushroom to survey his forest domain. Grumpphrey is almost finished, he still need to have his eyes painted, a little more colour added to the face where needed, he also needs some kind of finger nails and some embelishments he ususally finds on
the forest floor.
UPDATE 09/26/05
He is almost finished. I am making a small necklace of sunflower seeds or I may use one sunflower seed to go around his neck.
